What's up with you lazies? No posts for months and months! We need to plan for Christmas. I was talking with Sienna and Mom and we decided we should treat this like a family reunion and assign out meals and activities and such. What you think? I vote that all of you do all the work. The End.

Our Family likes books. Why have we never done this before?

We're starting a book club. My idea, Mom's book, some of us have had a head start, but we all end up sitting around and talking about it, so we wanted to give everyone else a chance to sit around and talk about it too. We may not have actual "meetings," we'll discuss if that is possible, via oovo, skype or whatever, later. Here's the book:

Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol Dweck.

$10 or less at WalMart. Or, you can get it from the library. We're going to try for 2 months to read it. Let me know if that's too much, or too little. And, comment on whether you're in or not!

This is in front of our house as of yesterday. Quite the pile of snow for those of us who aren't used to it. That's our birdbath. And that bunch of icicles is what was once our mailbox. After I took the picture we had to free it.

Ryan had to shovel the driveway with a garden shovel due to the lack of snow shovel at our house. He swears he's going to buy 5 snow shovels for next year.

And, because Dyany is going to ask- this is where our toilet is.

Hard core cowboy shirt

An old family friend of Ryan's made this shirt for Atticus. She made it with this pair of jean Diaper covers that had a fake pocket that included a handkerchief sewn in. Sadly, the jeans were too small already, but that doesn't change how rockin awesome the shirt is. :)

And this is Atticus attempting to smile. Not sure what he's smiling at, but we managed to catch one of them.

Well, igleast it's cool for we studious types. =) Go to www.arcticowlsoftware.com and download the free software for learning the states, or the countries of Europe, or even the Canadian provinces. They are small and fun little programs for learning those things most of us tend to forget or never learned. I even find the knowledge pretty useful when it comes to current events in the world. So go over there and download that stuff and play with it a while. It's good for your brain!

september 2008 in sao paulo at my sister-in-law's house. a lot has changed in eight years, but it was still great for tony to see and talk with his mission president. i think it brought back a lot of good memories of his time in brasil.

I thought i should contribute just so i can call myself a blogger. i am waiting for the swelling to go down where a bee or something stung me on the face yesterday while i was on a mt. bike ride. it hit me while i was going real fast and could not let go of the handlebars because i was bouncing through some rocks so i was frantically blowing on it but it wouldnt let go and stung me under my eye. It happened just a few days after a bee flew into my jersey on a road bike ride and stung me in the chest. I think they are out to get me.

i have a picture of Jacob on his first backpacking trip with the scouts giving me the "why are you taking a picture of me" look. and also a picture of a steep part of the trail called "the drainpipe" It was a fun trip.

today we picked up alex from gary's and then brought him back to provo. we borrowed a bike for him and biked up the canyon and went for a swim in the river. the pictures aren't great, but you get the idea. it was fun to hang out with alex in utah and show him around a little. tony took the last picture of him, he is hurrying to put his shirt in order to hide his farmer's tan.

So, at work they have managed to put me in an office in the corner. No one really walks by. Ever. They've given me track lighting so there's not a glare on my screen when I have to do CAD- which means I'm more or less in the dark. And they managed to take away facebook and gmail chat. Which means contact with the outside world is limited as I sit in my cave by myself.... apparently, however, I can blog. I wonder if this will affect my production? :) Thanks for the pictures, I was wanting new wallpaper!
